  Well how I told DH is kind of funny now - but wasn't at the time. I went to the appointment alone, since I had done this whole pregnant thing before. So twins was a HUGE surprise that I was not prepared for.

  When I made it home from my appointment not crying, I walked in the door and DH says "Are you okay?" I threw the US picture on the table and said "No. What does that look like to you???" And then started hystarically crying.

  QOTD: We went to my first u/s together and saw both babies on the screen.  DH "knew" before we went it was twins.  I was more in shock than he was.  Then we showed the u/s pics to our parents and showed them the 2 babies.  We didn't do anything special for the genders.  Just showed them the u/s.

  We did IVF and my betas were really high, so we had a sneaking suspicion even before the first u/s. H was there with me, so we both got the news at the same time.

  My mom absolutely cannot wait until we find out the sexes. She wants to shop so badly it isn't even funny. (Of course, my parents are both over 70 and these are their first grandchildren, so they've had quite the wait!)

  QOTD: DH was there with me when we had the u/s; we were shocked together. We didn't do a whole lot to tell family - we had them over and showed u/s pics on the TV; they looked, were kinda confused and then really excited. It was  fun.

  I am a twin myself, and had been bleeding a little so i called the doctor.  It would be my first appointment.  I joked with him that twins run in my family, and he joked back that he had delivered enough twins.  Then, lo and behold.. he did the ultrasound and there were two sacs.  Looking back now i think it is kind of funny because right after he saw the sacs he was like.. "Ummmm, well there is a high likleyhood that one of them can be reabsorbed back into the body.. don;t freak out yet" Funny.  I immediately called my husband and he was like, what?!  But then got really excited.  Then i called the rest of my family.  My mom was ecstatic, the rest of them thought we were nuts since i already had two toddlers.  It was funny.  Everyone has come around now though.

  When we found out the genders we posted at the exact same time on facebook their names and waited for the phone calls to flood in..

  Update:  Nothing new here...I'll be 17 weeks by this Friday and still can't believe it!!!  I think I have felt small movements like gas bubbles but not quite sure.. :P      ~Question of the day~ How did you tell DH or your partner or others you were expecting twins?   We told DH's side by having his Uncle open his Christmas present last...and inside was his DVD he wanted and underneath were 2 Baby White Sox shirts and the U/S pics... At first his Uncle was just confused and was like these are not going to fit...then the light bulb went off "Baby" wait there's 2...Twins!!!  Yep!!  It was very cool to see everyone's reaction. Did you or will you do anything special to announce genders?Announcing the genders I would like to wrap small jewerly boxes up and inside glue construction paper that is either blue/pink and let the family open them...    Same thing at work I will be hanging up the colors next to my construction signs and see if my co-workers gets it...LOL

  Update:  Had our second 3d/4d u/s, sadly the twinlets are both so squished together as well as constantly moving and big, my DH called them hyper, that the images are blurry and distorted, boo!  The 18 week one was so much better and clearer.  I see my peri tomorrow and I feel like I am getting bigger by the second, ha ha

  QOTD: DH was with me at my first u/s at 7 weeks.  Our RE told us that he thought it was twins by the high levels of estrogen, progesterone, and hcg in my two betas.  DH thought it was twins too but that still does not take away the seismic shock of hearing "pregnancies", "heartbeats", and "babies". As for the genders when we told people were expecting twins by sending a mass e-mail we also asked people to guess the genders. We sent out another e-mail when we found out.  DH was so excited when we found out the genders that he tore out of the u/s room before they were even finished to call our parents.  I think it made it more real for him to know and refer to our babies as his son and daughter rather than Twin A or Twin B.

  Just back from another great appt. Both boys sounded great! Baby B seems to be a little more active lately. I measure @ 29 wks and go back in 4 wks. Also have another sono scheduled in 4 wks. Can't wait for Spring Break!

  DH and I found out together at my first appt. @ 11w1d that we were expecting twins when we saw them on the sono. We were both amazed and shocked to see two separate little heartbeats and them sqirming all around! It was 2 days before Christmas and we were meeting DH's entire family for lunch so we told them then! It was awesome. We couldn't wait to tell all our family for an early Christmas gift! I called my mom right away and said the appt. went well and we saw two healthy babies...it's Twins!! She fell out of her chair at work and told everyone as she was so giddy with excitement. 

   We told all our family right away that we were having 2 boys! Everyone was so thrilled as we already have 2 precious girls:)

  How did you tell DH or your partner or others you were expecting twins? We just took the u/s pics over the my parents house and MIL's house.  They both didn't get it at first, but were floored when we explained it to them. 

  Did you or will you do anything special to announce genders?  We had the u/s tech write it on a card that we opened on Christmas.  It was a nice surprise.  My mom and DH's mom were on dying to know on Christmas morning!

  Big u/s was this morning - add us to team pink and blue! My instincts were correct!!

  DH was with me when we found out it was twins. We didn't do anything special to announce it to our families - just called them up right after the 6 week ultrasound and said, "You might wanna sit down...there's 2..."

  My mom was so funny, she said she didn't want to know the genders! I said "Well we're going to find out and tell whoever wants to know...so...I'm thinking you might find out eventually.." So then she says ok, if it's two of one gender then just tell me that but don't tell me what the gender is. So when I called her she flat out asks, "Is there a girl?" When I said 'yes' she acted as if that's all she wanted to hear, then I was like, "But aren't you interested in the other one too?" finally she said ok...yes...tell me. How silly. The rest of the family wanted to know immediately, and I could hear MIL on the phone as DH was dragging on the conversation (haha) he went through the run down of the results - everything looks perfect, they're both measuring the same and weigh about 10oz, etc... then finally says "It's a boy....and....a...." and I hear her say, "GIRL?" All in all - a very awesome experience!

  We found out together about the twins. I was in the hospital because I was having bleeding and cramping. They did an ultrasound and there they were. We both were shocked and I cried.

  We know the gender but no one else does. They think we didnt find out and they will not know until the twins are born!

  Update:  Passed the 36 week point...YAY.  Last peri appt was on Monday.  Girls estimated at 5lb, 4oz & 5lb, 12oz.  Both are head down.  NST and BP were good.  Also got my pre-birth visit to hospital out of the way and am happy w/ the facility - Nursery, NICU & OR on same floor.  Private rooms.  No restrictions on visitors or hours.

  QOTD:  In regards to twins - I gave DH the ultrasound photo and he figured it out himself pretty quick.  My mom had been with me so my entire family knew within hours.  We called DH's family and told them over the phone.  In regards to genders - basically everyone kept asking so when we knew we shared with everyone but not in any special way.

  My story is pretty much exactly the same!  

  Our toddlers are only about 3 weeks apart.  And our due dates are only about 2 weeks apart!  

  I am pretty much freaking out.  How are you doing now?  Have you adjusted yet.

  Had my First Appt with the OB yesterday after being released from my RE.  It was sooo exciting.  We heard the heartbeats and saw some really cool pictures of the 2 little ones.  One is measuring 10w 2d and the other 9w 5d. The heartbeats are 168 and 166.  The little ones are looking great :-)
