Pregnant after a Loss

Feeling emotional and overwhelmed

Probably for no particular reason... DD is becoming a very clingy toddler and she did not nap today, which is hard.... there was a minor fiasco at the grocery store today (too long and not that interesting to go into).... I'm feeling overwhelmed w/ cleaning the house and I can never ever think of something to make for dinner....

And all of this makes my a bit weepy.  Ugh.  Crying

I think I'm going to put DD to bed early tonight.

Please tell me this is just the hormones talking....

Re: Feeling emotional and overwhelmed

  • Yay for pg hormones! They made me rage on my DH the other day! I'm sorry DD is having a difficult day, I have a 3 year old niece and she has made me question whether or not I wanted kids more than once! As far as dinner, I have recipes up my sleeve. It's a little late for it now, but my favorite thing to make on my either lazy days or days that I can't handle anything too elaborate or time consuming is my crock pot roast.

Crock Pot Roast: you need a crock pot, about a 2-3 lb chuck pot roast, about 5-6 regular sized cans of cream of mushroom (or 2 big cans), 3 cans of cream of chicken, 2 cans of cream of celery, a package (or 2) of sliced mushrooms

I put down one can of cream of mushroom on the bottom of the pot, put in the roast and then dump everything else in, no need to stir or anything, set on high for about 6 hours and done.

I like to serve with rice or mashed potatoes, but usually just minute rice and a can of green beans or some other green veggie.

But its so easy, set it and forget it and then make your minute rice and heat up a veggie and you have an insanely yummy dinner! It never lasts more than 2-3 days in my house!!

  • Are you able to have someone watch DD so you can just relax for a bit? Or hire a maid for a day or something?

  • *hugs*  here's to a better day tomorrow!

  • I am right there with you today.  It has been a crazy, emotional day for me too.  I have been at the point of tears multiple times and it is only 1:00!  I seem to be having those days at least once a week these days.  I think a lot of mine is a lack of sleep, it always makes me anxious and freak out about little things.
  • Thanks so much ladies for making me feel better!  I like all the suggestions, and maybe I will try to look into hiring someone to clean my house for a day and/or watch DD... my birthday is on Monday, so maybe I'll call it a "birthday treat".

vlewis... thanks for the dinner idea, that sounds yummy!

I just finished putting DD to bed (it's 7:15pm here) and DH is a rugby practice, so I'm eating rice and beans w/ cheese, which I know sounds not so great, but it's good.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.  Glad to hear I'm not alone.
