I think they are more similar to life savers than actual cough drops. Check the active ingredients list. If there's a medication listed ask your OB. If it's sugar/similar, I wouldn't worry too much.
In first Tri, I couldn't find a store near me that sold preggie pops for nausea, and my OB recommended the Luden's. Only thing that got me through was a luden's in my pocket for those unexpected nausea episodes! it's just candy, there's no medicine in it.

I don't think they'd make cough drops that weren't safe to consume. Although I wouldn't eat a whole bag as an afternoon snack.
I think any hard candy works just as well as Luden's!

My midwife said Halls were fine. She just said they have sugar so if you can go sugar free. Then they taste yucky.
I'd assume Luden's would be okay too.
