interesting trip to the dentist

I posted about a week ago asking if I could get a filling while pregnant (still in 1st tri) and everyone said I should go b/c there's no sense in being a martyr for 9 months, and it could turn into something worse.

Went to the dentist today and it's NOT a cavity! I've had a sinus infection recently, and apparently, there is a sinus "pocket" (I think she called it) above your gums on top that can get mucousy and infected when you have sinus problems, causing the same pain as a really bad cavity would. SO, no filling for me. The typical treatment is antibiotics, but I told her I'd see if it got better on it's own this week first.

And hey, you learn something new every day, huh??

  • Were you the one that tested b/c your gums were bleeding and you called the dentist and they suggested you POAS?
