8 month old waking up at night..again???

DD has been waking up at night not wanting to go back to sleep.  I ignore her, pat her, put her pacifier back in.  I am at my wits end with this I am tired and it seems she will only stop when I FINALLY give in to pick her up. I already know I should not do this but I too am tired. I do not think she is teething as she already has 4 teeth and I do not see any more coming in as of yet. Anyhow, am I the only one going through this? Please give me hope :)
