I had a few male biopsies done last week on my back. The results came back and they are cancerous. I have surgery on Friday to remove a lot of skin off my back. Well, here's the thing...dh and I are trying to conceive. (Great timing, huh?) I am not pregnant, because I'm right in the middle of my cycle, but there's always that "chance." Should I be worried about that or just go on with the surgery as planned? Of course, we aren't going to try anymore until after the surgery, etc. I'm so scared!
Re: Skin cancer and pregnancy??
That's something you really need to ask the doctor - I'm sure it will affect whatever treatment they have in mind.
Good luck!
My friend is pregnant right now with skin cancer. They have to wait until she is sone to finish treatment but she had to get a lot more cut off because of the pregnancy making other treatment not an option.
I was in the same situation as you. We were TTC when I got mine removed but I have not gotten results back yet.
Talk to the OB and the Dermatologist about the steps you will have to take for your situation. It is different for everyone.
Sorry for the repeats here.
I didn't try and succeed to get pregnant until 8 years later.
