Sleep...

Any suggestions to get LO to sleep longer?  Right now he is sleeping in 2 hour blocks.  I'm going back to work next week and would like to increase those 2 hour blocks of sleep if possible.  He goes to sleep swaddled, fed and dry.  Suggestions welcome.  TIA!

Re: Sleep...

  • That's about what most babies sleep with they are that age.  I think mine went 3-4 hours (bottle fed) for the first few months.  The older they got, the longer they went.

your siggy pic is cute :)

  • He's normal, and very, very young.  There is absolutely nothing you can do to get him to sleep longer so don't fall for any old wives tales anyone tries to tell you.  He'll pull some longer stretches for you when he gets a little older.  For now, attend to him whenever he cries so he learns that he can trust this big crazy world (and also because his nervous system is still developing and he needs to be soothed by mama whenever he is upset) and just do your best to get through it.   Hang in there!!
    Wheee!
