Survey For Fun - Baby Names

Hopefully this isn't too fresh for some of you, but I was wondering if people wanted to share their potential baby names for when they get pg.

For DH and I, we have chosen Joaquin Luis for a boy for sure and are leaning toward Leila Rebecca for a girl. DH is Spanish and we have a Spanish last name so these names work well for us. The middle names are his dad's middle name and my mom's first name.

There are alot of names that we like but nothing is set in stone. Our last name is Rhodes so we have to watch what we pick. For instance, I knew this girl when I was little and her name was Breck. I LOVE that name..but Breck Rhodes?? um...no! DH's dads name is Dusty Rhodes...no joke. lol

Well DH hasn't totally agreed, but I have my own ideas.

Andrew (not sure of the middle name -maybe Joshua)

Allison Deborah (My mom was Anne Deborah, but went by Debbie and my grandfather was Albert)

I always try to ask my DH about baby names, but he tells me he's not going to "play that game" until we absolutely have to. I've been coming up with some on my own, but who knows what DH will agree to. I love your choice of Joaquin for a boy! Leila is also a cute girl choice.

LOL. I've never been on that board. I try to stay away from the fertiles. I do agree though - crazy spellings and extra y's are obnoxious (and frankly, make people seem like they just don't know how to spell).

I love everyone's name choices! We'd all better get a chance to use because we have such good taste!

Boy is set in stone: Shane Byrum.

Shane is Hubs middle name. Byrum is his mom's maiden name. Both sons died young and Hubs grandpa was the only boy so the Byrum's are all gone.

Girls are more of a debate. I lovelovelovelovelove Liesl and my grandma's maiden name, Hannan.

We can agree on Elizabeth maybe nickname Liesl or Elise.

Oooo fun... Lillian (can't decide on a middle) after my Mom Mom who died 2 days before my b-day last year. We'd call her Lily. Or Elizabeth (no middle yet) after my maternal ggmother, paternal gmother and DH's maternal gmother. We'd call her Libby because that was my ggmom's nickname. We can't really agree on boy's names but I like Ryan Daniel or Ryan James. Ryan after my cousin who's a volunteer fireman, emt and an all around hero and great man. And Daniel after my father or James after his father. (We really like family names:)

We already have Nora Beth

The baby we lost was going to be Morgan Kate or Wyatt Henry.

I don't know if we'll use those names again or not. I'm kind of leaning more toward Jacob Henry if we have a boy. That was what DD's name was giong to be if she had been a boy.

Our next child will go by their middle name. I know a lot people aren't fans of that but Dh goes by his middle name and it's worked well for him. So our choices are...

Those are all pretty names! My maiden name is "Bond," so I would love to use it somewhere, maybe as a middle name (boy or girl.) Other than that, it's awfully hard for me to pick because I teach Kindergarten and there's so many names I like but have to rule out because it will remind me of a little stinker!!!

Carter Scott or Carter Samuel

Scott is my dad and brothers middle name..but I love the bible verse 1 Samuel 1:27..which says.."For this child I prayed and God heard my prayer."

Claire for a girl probably but no middle name picked out yet.

I love Joaquin! I wish I didn't have such a damn American last name.

For a girl, I like Bridget (which DH hates), Rose Marie (for my grandma, who is Rose Mary - DH also hates), Keira, Caitlin, Kathleen, Megan (can you tell I'm Irish?), Hannah (for DH's cousin who passed away)

For a boy, I really want to name him Jack after my grandfather, but I hate that it's become such a trendy name. We both really like Adrian. I also like Ryan.

We haven't really discussed names for next time, but there are some on the list:

Boy - Simon, Emmett, Warren

Girl - Lena, Josie

DH heard the name Josie tonight and decided he really liked it and then said "Josie Laine," to which I said "Laine?" and he said, "yeah, your middle name, why not?" So I guess we may use my middle name somewhere.
