I have a question for all of you who have fraternal twins.

Did the second sac show up right away on your early ultrasound, or was it kinda "hiding" a little?  Were they about the same size or did they look a little different? Do you even remember? lol

 

I just had my first ultrasound for this pregnancy and they figure i'm a little less than 6 weeks.  First sac showed up immediately, with yolk and slight possible heartbeat.  THEN... THEN... there was another black hole of a sac 'hiding' next to it.  Tech couldn't be sure if it's twins or just a fluke thing where the first sac was twisted ?

Did this happen to any of you??  

omg.  I have to wait 2 weeks to have another ultrasound and i'm going INSANE already! 

Any info is super appreciated! thank you! :)

    i clearly had 2 sacs at 5w.  a few days later they saw both heartbeats.

    sorry you have to wait- that sucks- but congrats on your pg!

    At six weeks I clearly had two sacks and two babies with cardiac activity.  GL to you.  The wait would drive me nutso!

    At 6 wk sono, my doctor said, "good heartbeat" and then hit the print button.

    I said, "can you please check again.  I am big for 6 weeks, my boobs really hurt, and I'm puking my brains out Ick!"

    the doctor did a second sono, and there were 3 sacs.  I had 2 sacs with strong heartbeats.  Baby #3 was so, so tiny and no Hb.  At my 8 wk sono, my 2 sacs were growing strong and sac 3 was gone.

    I didn't have a u/s till 11w5d so I can't help with early u/s, but congrats and good luck!

    We had our first ultrasound at 8 weeks and the doctor could clearly see and knew right away that we were having twins. Good luck to you I would also go insane if I had to wait 2 weeks. Hopefully the time goes by quickly. =)

    At 6 weeks, my doctor only found 1 sac!  At 7w2d, the doctor found 2 sacs, 2 HB! 

    Congratulations on your BFP!  Good luck, and I hope these two weeks go quickly!

    Congrats on your pregnancy! My first u/s was at 8 weeks - there were 2 very distinct and separate sacs, each containing its own baby.

    We knew right away that there were two. (6w0d u/s pic in my blog; August) I hope you get answers soon!

    Congrats on your BFP! I had my first u/s at 7 weeks and there were 2 clear sacs, baby B was smaller though.
