Is a mobile a must have?

in Pregnant after a Loss

I can't find one that matches my bedding and I'm not sure if it's a necessity or not? I'd definitely get one if I can find one that goes, but if  I can't wondering if I go without or just get one even if it's not a perfect match. Thoughts?

    I don?t think it?s necessary, just adds flair. I didn?t think I would be able to find one that matches mine either, but my mom made me one. And I found a couple runners ups on Etsy. Try there if you really want one.

    Hmmm....I would think not.  I suppose it's all a matter of taste.

    For my DD, yes it was!  There wasn't one that matched my bedding either, but after a few weeks of her in the crib, I found one that blended well enough.  We have a blabla mobile over the changing table and she was just in awe of it, so we needed something for the crib.  To this day, she loves it and still asks for it to be "turned on". (We bought a musical one)

    I was leaning no... I don't have one yet, but I was reading about child development and how they can help so I may get one after she moves out of the bassinet.  I don't feel a need to have one now though.

    I bought DS a PBK mobile & he never cared about it one way or another

    A couple of my friends had the tiny love remote control mobile & swore by it. It does not match anything it is just amusing for the baby.

     

    Oh I just googled them & they do have a few different ones now

    Not necessary, so I wouldn't stress over it. The other ladies have great suggestions on where to look or alternatives though!

    We have one of oragami birds in primary colors that a friend of mine made for DD when she was in the NICU. It is kinda high up, so I'm not sure how much of it she could see when she was a baby. It is still hanging up and she loves it! It totally does not match her decor, but it has so much sentimental value to me.
