Enfamil Gentlease or Similac Sensitive?

Can you tell me your experiences with each if you have used them? We have been using Gentlease but are trying Sensitive because both babies seem very gassy.

I made the Sensitive tonight and it seemed VERY foamy compared to Gentlease.

Thanks!

  • We use the Sensitive, to help with the foam, I stir it with a spoon and then put the lid on and tilt it up and down gently so the bubbles stay to a minimum. I will also swirl the bottle rather than shake. The sensitive worked great for us, we switched to the RS because of their reflux and just now switched back to the Sensitive. I hope it helps their gas!

  • I don't remember the Sensitive foam.  Gentlease was better than full formula but DS was still gassy.  Similac Sensitive really worked best for us- it is lactose free, rather than low lactose like Gentlease.  When he was older, like 6 months, we were able to move to a full formula again.

We used Dr. Brown's bottles and I used alot of Gripe Water and that helped alot with the gas too.

  • It's a little bit pricier, but we started using the Similac Sensitive in the ready-to-use premixed formula bottles. I only have used them when we are out and I need to feed them but no complaints. No foam or bubbles to deal with and the girls don't seem to be gassy.
