I know I'm not here much anymore, but I know we have some of the greatest prayers on here.

My Dad has been in the hospital since Sunday night. He is in extreme pain. It started with his body just being achey(this was Tuesday night). The aches turned into pain. They have done a bunch of tests(mris, bloodwook etc) and are pretty much ruling it right now as Guillain-Barre syndrome(any of you medical ladies out there, if you know anything about this please educate me with what this may be). From what we understand it is something attacking his nerves. He is still in a lot of pain and tomorrow they will be doing a spinal tap which will confirm that this is what is going on. We do know that this also can cause some paralysis. So we are scared of that. The neaurologist has already had him call his work and tell them that he will not be coming back for 4 weeks..maybe longer. Please pray that we can get some relief to my dad and that he can get treatment soon. I have also heard that spinal taps can be painful and so please pray that he will be ok thru this tomorrow.

I have never seen my dad in so much pain. He has always been one of the toughest, active man I have known and to see him not even be able to sit up or walk withought crying in pain is heartbreaking. I just want him to get some relief.

I am so sorry to hear this. I cannot imagine seeing your father in so much pain. Just thinking about anything happening to my parents makes me very emotional. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Praying for you guys! My dad went through something similar back in September. Turned out that he had a one inch cyst on his spine that was pressing against some nerves. His pain was localized to his hip, though. They also tested him for Guillon-Barre. Spinal taps stink. Keep us updated!
