The question below about whether babies can taste made me wonder about a lot of the question posts. It seems like a lot of posters respond to questions on the boards when they don't even know the correct answer. And I don't mean saying "I don't know" - I mean giving the wrong answer. Why do you feel the need to respond when you don't know??
Re: responding to post when you don't know the answer
There's a poster on the board that is a habitual offender to this.
Usually if I don't know I'll google.
This.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
This is what I think. That's why I actually don't rely on The Bump Boards for information. I do the research myself, and I usually look for posts on here that share funny stories or help me relate my pregnancy experiences to others. If I find something that I know is really wrong, I usually respond with a link to some "official info" with some facts on the subject. It's not someones fault they don't know something's wrong until someone shows them the correct information.
I'll admit it.
I don't know
.
I too look up info, and then sometimes ask here to relate to others. And I agree it's not always their fault, and I know some ppl appreciate being helped out with links and such.
because people are stupid and ignorant..
also.. a lot people feel the need to give their opinion or experience as FACT and then get offended when you tell them that they are wrong and that isn't fact.
A lot of posters respond to questions with information they know is wrong, but don't care because the correct information would make them "feel guilty" and how dare anyone do that.
I don't know.
But it drives me INSANE when people do this in real life! And I know a lot of people who do it.
