I can't remember the last time I went to a Chuck E Cheese. But one of my mom's co-workers has a son DS' age so we're going to get together this Friday and she had mentioned CEC. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about it?

If I never have to go to CEC again in my life, I will be very happy! LOL - there weren't a lot of age-appropriate activities for my ds, so it was basically me chasing him around the room the entire time.
I think it depends on the location. I haven't been in a few years but I use to take my god daughter there pretty often. The one closest to me was nasty and run down but the one that was about 15 mins further was clean and nice.
I have been to 2 in my adult life - one was clean and the other was disgusting. Both visits were within 6mos of each other, but in different parts of town. I think it just depends which one you go to.

we went to a party for my nephew a few weeks ago. i had never been to one in my life... it was clean, they didnt have a lot for ds but he spent the entire time on a climber/slide combo so it didnt matter. i went thru an entire container of antibac wipes.....
DH and I have taken DS to chucky cheese two times in the past month! He loves it and has so much fun just running around being a kiddo! He loves it!!! I'm sure it's a germ fest, but so is everything and everywhere else. Our chucky cheese has a toddler play area and DS loves the duck game and riding in the car with chucky. Have fun!
My sister took DD about a month ago and she said it was germy, but seriously what place like that won't be. She was however impressed that each kid/parent got their hand stamped with black light ink upon entering. Every person coming in got a different stamp. When they left the workers checked each child's hand stamp with a black light to make sure it matched the parent's stamp. I thought this was a great idea.

Wow, that is pretty clever!

We went to one last week and LOVED it!
There was a toddler play zone. The food was meh, but what do you expect.
She really liked the animatronic characters singing too.
