Women's Group of Northwestern vs. Midwest Center for Women's Healthcare

I currently see Dr. Lui at the Women's Group of Northwestern.  If you currently see a doctor at the Women's Group how is your experience?  Are you able to have your questions answered quickly?  Do you feel like the doctors give you enough individual time?

Since I now live in Evanston I am thinking about switching to the Midwest Center for Woment's Healthcare, does anyone have expererience with Dr. Warner?  How is her bedside manner?  Would you reccomend her.

Any insight on either practice would be really appreciated.

  • I'm in Evanston and at Midwest Ctr. Love them. My previous OB was independent and stopped practicing so I joined Midwest and I have a number of friends who see various doctors there. Love my dr. and have never heard anything but good things about all of the doctors. Haven't met Dr. Warner but have heard positive things through friends. I did get to meet a couple of other doctors while I was in the hospital and I think all of them have great bedside manners- definitely listen, answer questions, and I've never felt rushed through at all.

  • I see Dr. Venkatchalam (or "Dr V" for short) over at the Women's Group of Northwestern.  (You are referring to the group of Salache, McMahon, etc over on Kingsbury, right?)

This is my first and when I called for an appt, I basically was assigned to Dr. V.  So far, I love her.  She's very easy to talk to.  Great bedside manner.  I've only seen one other Dr. of the practice (Dr. Dugan) and she was very nice too - I think I met her at the 16 week appt, so there wasn't all that much going on.

I will admit, I'm fairly low maintenance, so as long as my doctors are pleasant, can answer my questions and don't make me feel like I'm a pest, I am very happy.

  • i delivered with Women's Group last August. Dr. Wise was my original OB, but Dr. Dugan was the one who delivered R (when she was 37 weeks pregnant herself!) I met with all of the OBs, and they are all truly amazing women. I loved especially Dr. V and Dr. Dugan. so caring, understanding, answered all of your questions (and my SO had A LOT of questions!). cannot say enough good things about the Women's Group!
