The moment a child is born,
the mother is also born.
She never existed before.
The woman existed, but the mother, never.
A mother is something absolutely new.
We have 2 Britax Marathons and LOVE them. They are SO sturdy, and they seem very comfy for Ethan, they are well padded and have a nice harness system. They also have a high weight limit (65 lbs I believe) so he can stay in it for longer.

It was voted a consumer reports "Best Buy". Got at 60/100. (The highest rated car seat got 70/100):
"A good choice for cars with enough room to accommodate it rear facing.
Highs-Highest rear facing capacity of convertible models tested. Separate LATCH belts and easy to move recline feet make the transition between rear- and forward-facing easier.
Lows-Long shell may not fit in smaller cars or third rows when rear facing. Confusing harness height adjustment."
I second the Britax. If you have a smaller car, you might look at the Britax Roundabout too - it only goes to 40 lbs but it is comparable in price to the Graco MyRide.
That seat is too new to be in the book. The latest eddition didn't like the Comfort Sport (Graco's other/older convertible seat) because the weight limits were low compared to a lot of other newer seats. The comfort sport was one of the top rater convertible seats in the previous eddition. The problem is really just because of the weight limits, so since this new seat has higher weight limits, I think it would probably receive high reviews from them (it gets high reviews otherwise).
We need a second convertible seat and I am about 90% sure it will be the my ride 65

we have a recaro como that we love, but if you're looking for something less expensive than that, the first years true fit gets super rave reviews from the moms I know who have it.

thank girls! I was cruising BRU and that seat is on sale. I'm going to do some more research, but it seems like a pretty good deal.
Grrrrrrr. I hate car seat shopping.
