twitching thumb

So for the past 2 days my thumb has been twitching randomly and pretty bad.  I was going to call a nuerologist to see if this is something I should get checked out but before I did that I figured I'd check and see if this could in any way be PG related.  I didn't think so, but there seem to be so many strange symptoms that accompany this 9 month journey, I just thought I'd check.  TIA!

Re: twitching thumb

  • I think you're right to consider the fact that it may be pregnancy related. Maybe call your OB first? I've read about carpal tunnel and limbs falling asleep in general due to pregnancy but not twitching, although it would not surprise me.

  • Yea, it probably wouldn't hurt to just check with my OB first.  I have an appointment Friday AM anyway so maybe I'll just wait till then.  Thanks...

  • LOL..if you have time to look at my past 3 postings...do so.  I didnt think whats going on w/ my arm could possibly be pg realted..but ..alas..it is.  My thumb, index finger and middle finger all went numb with shooting pains up my arm and into my shoulder.

AHA!  So, it may indeed just be another "lovely" symptom of being PG.  Well, good to know.  I read online that it could be a sign of ALS or MS.  So, I'm going to convince myself it's PG related and just run it by my OB on Friday.  Also-glad to see you're feeling much better!! :)
