Okay... I was rummaging through the pantry and found an unopened box of cheez its. These things are my weakness... I looked at the box and shouted "DARLING! The expiration date is jun 11 08 there's no way I'm eating these" and he says "ah the box isn't opened... I'm sure they're fine" I ate one.. it tasted like dog food... not that I've ever had dog food but icky. *sigh* I guess I'll have to get some more... Sad

I love that you have unopened food in your cabinets from 2008. When we moved last September I was tossing food that expired in 2006. I felt so guilty!

I'm pretty sure we bought these before we moved into our house... in 2007. I had almost a whole year to eat them and I didn't. But now I want them and I can't have them... Crying

I always feel guilty throwing away food. We're bad about it with just the two of us. We always get too much! You would think after two and a half years we would have learned how to grocery shop.

When I was cleaning out and reorganizing the cabinet last weekend I found a jar of pineapple chuunks that expired in 2007.... DH LOVES pineapple but since I am sooooo allergic I dont let him eat it anymore.

He cant even kiss me after eating pineapple I am so allergic.... I dont know why I didnt just throw them all out when we started dating.

We went through our cabinets a few months ago and it was sad how much we had to throw out that was expired.
