Potential Daycares in Voorhees/Berlin Area

I'm in the stages of touring daycare facilities and, frankly, I'm finding it a bit overwhelming.  I know I need to get a jump start on it because many of the good places can fill up early so I'll want to have my baby enrolled now for August, 2010.  Unfortunately, my husband and I are both fulltime workers and will continue to be so daycare is necessary.

Anyhoo, my question is what are people's opinions of certain daycare facilities in the Voorhees/Berlin area?

This would be extremely helpful.  Thanks!

  • I'm wondering the same thing!  Did you find any yet that looked promising?

  • I currently use Clockwise Daycare in Voorhees. So far I like it a lot...I have only been back to work 3 weeks though! The director is great and she is very accomodating. The hours are also nice.

  • Thus far my husband and I interviewed at Goddard, Kindercare, The Learning Experience, and Kiddie Junction.  Stay away from Kiddie Junction!  I was completely appalled by their facilities.  There are no cameras or security at the door.  Anyone can walk right in.  Also, the place smelled like cats, which seemed odd to me.

Goddard seemed very nice, but it was the most expensive of the bunch and didn't really offer anything more than some of the other places.  Also, they are closed on certain holidays, which I work and they take a full week off around Christmas.  I don't have the vacation time to swing that.

Kindercare seemed fine, but I've read some reviews that the staff wasn't the most pleasant.  I really didn't have an issue personally, but then again they were trying to get me to join.

So far, The Learning Experience is my hands down choice.  The price is alright and the amenities are great.  They offer just as much as Goddard and they do it cheaper somehow.  The facilities were neat, clean and up to date.  Also, the amount of days they are closed is nominal.

We are checking out Under the Sun next week.  I will let you know about that.

We were going to check out La Petite, but their tour hours are between 9 am to 4:30 pm.  I can't possibly swing that because I work.  Heck that's the reason I'm looking into daycare because the hours of 9 am to 5 pm during the week I'm working.
