work eval is done

My principal gave me my eval for the year today (she has to have it done before the March school board meeting) and I am so frustrated.  I average a 3.494, which equals a satisfactory rating, but excellent is 3.5.  I really don't know what I could do differently to bump it up.  Oh well, hopefully I will finally get an excellent rating next year.  And I guess I shouldn't complain since she is very happy with my performance and is recommending me for rehire next year.

    It looks like she rated you as close to a 3.5 as she could without giving it to you. Is there a larger raise or anything with the excellent rating that she may have been trying to avoid? Don't be to discouraged, if you round up you totally got the 3.5!

    This!  I mean really??  0.006 away??  I'd say you're totally excellent!!  I'd be really irritated with that rating just because it's SOOOO close (and I'm Type A).  How annoying!

    There is no raise involved, just the possibility of dismissal if you get unsatisfactory or needs improvement.  My job is safe, but it is still frustrating.  I am so type A and want the best eval possible!

    That stinks.  I know with my DH job if they rate him an Excellent they have to write a letter to go with it which means extra work so they rarely give them out.  He always gets it though (brags foolishly).  My job doesn't even bother anymore.  They cut annual pay increases so my boss thinks it is a waste of time.
