I'm trying to develop a routine so we're all (but mostly ME) happier at home.
Payton is just getting to the point where her naps are occurring at consistent times, so I thought I would compare what other moms are doing and see what I can come up with as far as day start/end, play time, nap time, feedings, cleaning, getting a shower (ha!), etc.
Re: What's you schedule/routine at home?
I don't know that I can be much help since I work and I'm not at home during the day.
But, when I was at home during maternity leave, K would spend the early morning with her Daddy before he left for work. Then I got up around 8, she fed around 9, slept from 10 to 11ish. When she took her nap is when I would take a shower and get ready for the day.
Then we would spend lunch break with DH at home, K would take another nap around 1 and we almost always went and did errands or did something outside of the house around 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Sometimes this was simply taking her on a walk around the neighborhood. Other times it was running to the post office, going grocery shopping, or maybe going to a playdate. For me it was hard being home because I got stircrazy in the house, which is why I made a point of taking a shower, blow drying my hair and getting out of the house just about every single day. It made me a happier mommy to do so.
Also, if you are looking for opportunities of things to get out and do things with your DD, check your local library or children's museum. I used to take K to a baby reading/music time at the library once a week.

We have a pretty nice routine going and it helps to make our household run so much more smoothly!
Aubrey is up at 7:30..I feed her then I put her in the bouncer (this is fixing to be changed to the excersaucer) while I shower and get ready. Then I get her ready. It is usually about 8:45 by this point.
We then play on her playmat, I read two stories to her, and I sing to her for about 30 minutes or so. She is down for her morning nap at 9:30am. This is when I wash the bottles from the previous night, and do the chore from my chore chart for the day (I have certain days of the week I do things like laundry, vacuum, etc- I can run the vacuum during her naps because it doesn't bother her..it's like white noise for her or something lol)
She gets up at 11:30, she has a bottle, then on the days I need to run errands this is when we do it. I can't wait till it warms up because I will be sure to get out every day at that point even if it is just a walk around the neighborhood. On the days we don't run errands we play for about 30 minutes and then she likes some down time, so she plays on her mat by herself or swings in her swing. Again since we are fixing to introduce the excersaucer I will probably incorporate this into the sequence as well. She goes down for her afternoon nap at 2pm.
I usually take some me time during her afternoon nap...I check my email, this board, my blogs. I work on my sewing or her scrapbook. I also do any pre preparations I might need to do for dinner during this time.
She wakes up at around 3:15, takes a bottle, and then Wes is home about 3:45-4pm and they get daddy/daughter time while I fix supper.
She takes another bottle at 6, she plays (and sometimes cat naps) till about 8..then the nightly routine starts....bath, bottle, story, bed. She is usually in bed by 9pm and sleeps till 4am when she wakes up to eat and then goes back to sleep till 7:30.
After she goes to bed is when I get time with Wes. Now sometimes are days vary of course but this is the overall routine we have going as of right now.
I'm trying to remember our schedule when Robinson was that little- and of course, I always feel weird answering these, b/c I don't know if our way is a preemie way or not...
I think around that age, he kind of followed this schedule: bottle, play for an hour or so and then nap and start over again. I don't think it was until he was 6 months that he really had a morning/afternoon nap and a more normalized routine.
I would put him in his exersaucer or bouncy seat while I showered and had music playing for him. We always did tummy time for 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in the afternoon...and we'd always go on an afternoon walk to get out of the house-
Sorry...I realize that I'm probably not much help on this! Hopefully the other ladies are giving better suggestions.
