How much did you end up paying? I love to quilt, but I don't really need another quilt. DH said I should sell them, but I kind of feel like there isn't much money to be made sewing for other people when you could just go to the store and buy something. How much does a quilt ACTUALLY sell for on etsy? I've seen plenty listed, but are they really selling?
Re: If you bought your crib bedding on etsy...
::Butts In:: and wants to point out that you are WAY TOO STINKING TALENTED!!!! Between the sewing and cakes, you've really got a good thing going!!!

I concur...I just checked out your blog and your cakes are amazing!
I just bought a new sewing machine after not sewing for years. I plan on making a quilt for DS and DD-to-be. I love the fabric and pattern of your quilt, may I ask where you got the fabric and what sort of pattern you used? It turned out great! Also, did you do the binding yourself...that's the only part that scares me!
Aww... thanks so much!
I got the fabric on ebay actually. I couldn't find exactly what I wanted in my local fabric stores, so I bought it online. I didn't use a pattern, just measured out what I wanted the finished size to be and did the math to figure how big to make the squares. I did do the binding myself and it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Just use a TON of pins! I watched some youtube tutorials on how to do corners and that was pretty simple too. I recently found an online store for quilters called www.fatquartershop.com that has a really great selection! I'm itching to buy some fabric now!
