please tell me why/when I will EVER use a squared + b squared = c squared and any other algebraic equations (such as finding the area of a circle) as a pharmacy technician!

this college algebra class sucks monkey balls.

Well, usually when I'm counting prescriptions, I put the pills in a triangle... so I just use that theorem to figure out the number of pills that I have there.

Also, when I talk to insurance companies, I find it necessary to figure out the length of the phone cord.

Yeah... I don't get it either.

i'm taking college algebra this semester. my first test was today and it had much harder stuff than that.

i Think i did ok though. i studied a lot. my major is sociology. lol social science and i still need algebra and science classes too.

im currently failing and it's pissing me off. my book gives you simple instructions and examples on how to solve equations and then there are a butt load of working problems you have to solve and none of the instructions/examples come near to explaining how to solve the working problems. i will NEVER do strictly online classes again.

Do you also have to take Stats? I had to take 2 years of stats as a Soc. major, plus a data analysis class - it sucked.

Not yet. I'm at the community college doing the associate transfer program and it's not listed, but it may be on the university's bachelor program, I don't know.

Menz, if you have any questions, ask here! I hate algebra, but I'm pretty good at it, and lots of these other ladies have already done it.
