i really don't have a problem with them. i think they can be very cute, as can tea parties.
i think a lot of people who have a problem with them are referring to the now defunct Club Libby Lu, where tweens dressed up like slores.
anyway, i think the princess/tea parties can also be a good business opportunity for those willing to listen to 12 four year olds squealing for a couple hours at a time:)

Princess party is not the same. I love watching DD dress up, put make up on, paint her nails, do her hair, it's so cute and innocent. Dressing in miniskirts, tight shirts and funky hair is just ugly.

If so, thank god.
I used to want to vomit when I walked past that store in the mall and would see a party going on. It was so gross.
