and I'm starting to panic! At my 37 week appt today, my pressure was still up 140/90, and I had quite a bit of protein in my urine. I had done a 24hr urine collection over the weekend, and it was 254 - so not pre-e. My dr was concerned that my pressure was still up, and she scheduled me for an induction tomorrow at 5am. She agreed to let me try for a vaginal delivery, unless it becomes unsafe for the three of us. I'm going to give it the good old college try and see what happens! However, I'm prepared for a c-section if that's what needs to be done.
Any MoMs been induced? I'm a bit nervous about the pitocin, as I've heard it can be really rough on your body. I'm already at 3cm, so I'm hoping that I won't be in labor for a tremendous amount of time, although I know that may be unrealistic. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated! I've been waiting for the twins for soooo long, but now that I know they'll be here soon, I'm feeling very overwhelmed and unprepared!!
Re: I'm being induced tomorrow!
it's a crazy feeling knowing you will be giving birth the next day, huh?
I was induced with my singleton... nothing wrong with it - got pitocin at 7am, got the epidural shortly after (I had kidney stone pain, too, so they wanted to cover that right away).... I wasn't fully dilated until midnight- slept most of the day... pushed for hour and 1/2 and out he came.
i don't recall any issue with having pitocin - but again, i slept most of the day
best of luck!!!!!! let us know how it goes! TRY to sleep tonight!
Congrats on making it so long!
I was induced and had a vaginal delivery. My experience was favorable, here is my birth story if you would like to read it:

Good luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes
Both my pregnancies included pitocin. DD#1 My water broke at 1 a.m., pitocin at 10 a.m., DD was born at 3:40 after 30 minutes pushing.
With the twins I was induced- pitocin at 8 a.m., DD was born at 1:00 after 5 minutes pushing, DS was born 40 minutes later.
The pitocin intensifies contractions. With DD#1 I held off on the epidural so I got walloped. With the twins they made me get the epidural immediately, so it was never bad. Good luck!
