Teeth coming in OUT of order??

My son popped his first two teeth at 4m 1day and 4m 2days - the two middle bottom ones. Now he has another tooth that has broken the skin but its not what the next order is. Its his lateral incisor, the top left of the middle ones.

I think this is odd but Im sure its not horrible or anything. Just hoping this doesnt mean he is going to need a ton of dental work/braces when he gets his adult teeth!!

Re: Teeth coming in OUT of order??

  • Bailey's came out of order, she was a vampire baby for the longest time, she never had any problems, it was hilarious though (sorry about the food on her face she liked to show off after eating).

  • The order is just the order that most kids get their teeth.  Most of the time they are no more likely to need ortho even if they get them out of order. Occasionally children get teeth out of order because they are fused together. This is rare and tends to run in families. I had it and so does my niece. But it still does not affect the permanent teeth in most cases. Either way it is nothing to worry about. Congrats on the teeth.

  • The don't come in the exact same order in every child.
  • The order is what commonly happens, it isn't a rule

OMG this is so hilarious! I noticed that HL's 2 upper canines were poking through about a month ago. First off I couldn't believe that he was teething this early, second of all I had never heard of the CANINES coming in first! So I'm relieved to see this picture and it's soo cute. DH and I joke about having a vampire baby and thought if they do really drop down first that we could cast him in Twilight haaaa!
