When did you buy furniture?

I'm thinking I'll wait until at least the 5th month, probably longer, but there's a set I really like on sale right now, really good sale, and I'm worried I'll have to settle for something else later because of $.

When did you make your big purchases?

We ordered our furniture in my 20th week (when we had our "big ultrasound" - anomaly scan where they conduct a detailed ultrasound of each of the baby's parts such as the brain, heart, face, spine, stomach, limbs, etc. checking for congenital problems) ... we wanted to get out of our first trimester, etc. That was in October and the furniture arrived at the end of December ... I believe it was like my 30th week ... takes anywhere from 8 - 12 weeks typically.

I was due June 8 and we purchased in March/April I believe. We did take advantage of a glider sale they were having at BRU that was a bit earlier and bought our glider then, but I'd already picked out our furniture, basically, so I knew everything would match up. We ordered our furniture online, it only took a week or two to get to us, it wasn't that bad. If you know what you want, and everything is sailing smoothly with the pregnancy, I'd take advantage of the sales when you see them.

we bought our furniture when i was around 17 weeks. there was an 8-12 week turnaround. i just had it delivered and i was about 31 weeks when it came.

I ordered mine at 20 weeks and it only took about a week to get here. I didn't specifically wait until a certain time. I had not decided on a crib yet. Six weeks does sound early, but I'm a girl that can't pass up a good sale.

We ordered our crib when I was about 26-27 weeks and it got here 4 weeks later. We bought the dresser the weekend the crib came in.

We got ours after the baby was born because that's just the way it happened. I would recommend getting the nursery done before the 8th month because it's hard to get anything done once the baby is big and once the baby is born.

we bought ours after our big u/s.... I was ~19-20 weeks. It came pretty quickly (from bambibaby.com) and sat in our garage for a few weeks. We assembled it when I was around 26ish weeks.....

We ordered at 26 weeks. Furniture is in (except for the crib which we found out with only 8 weeks to go is on back order). We are picking it up tomorrow. I highly suggest ordering it early, seeing as if I had I might have been able to avoid not having a crib for the 1st month LO is here. Not a big deal because we were planning on having her in our room anyway for the first month or so.

I am 14 weeks we bought ours yesterday we did it so early on accident I decided to start looking once I was in my second trimester thinking it would take me forever to figure out what I wanted I am very picky but I found the perfect crib on my second trip out looking on sale and bought it I would buy a little earlier than you think you would need to especialy if its a crib from a baby furniture store because they can take 16 weeks or longer if they half to order the crib!!!!
