BJ City Mini v. City Elite - help please

I'm debating between the Baby Jogger City MIni Double and the City Elite Double.  I will have a 2 yr old when the new baby arrives and I want to make sure the stroller will last us a while.  My DD is already a tall girl at about 36-37" and I don't want her to outgrow it too quickly.

If you have one of these strollers can you tell me what you think of it as far as fitting a larger child.  Also, is the handlebar fairly tall?  I'm 5'9 and need a taller bar.

TIA!

Re: BJ City Mini v. City Elite - help please

  • I don't have the double but I do have the single city mini and I love it. The handle is a little higher. I would suggest going to someplace that has them in stock & "test drive" them. Also I would look at getting the car seat attachement so you can "click" the car seat in to the stroller.
  • Loading the player...
  • Go the babyjogger.com and check out their comparison chart. It gives all the measurements.
  • I should have mentioned that I don't have a place anywhere near me that carries this stroller.  I also have the spec sheet from Babyjogger.com in front of me and it really only shows a small difference between the two.  I just thought someone might have some experience with it in person.
  • I love my City Mini...don't have the double, but last I heard there is an attachment available for making all the City Elite attachments work on the Mini.  Good news!  If you do get the Mini, look into getting the pram if you are interested in the carseat adapter part (which I looooved)...the pram comes with the adapter, and then you have 3 different ways to use your stroller.
