Gas Pain..

I have been having major gas cramps all day...I have taken tums, and maximum strengh zantac.  Its not working!  Any other remedies?  I thought about drinking citracel, its like metamucil.  Any other suggestions?  The pain is in my upper stomach Embarrassed

    Well you know zantac takes a couple days to work.. I just got some prilosec today, hoping that works.. I have known several people that said zantac stinks... my doc also told me I could have pepcid.. I feel your pain I am so sorry.. mine makes me dry heave Sad also don't drink any pop even uncafinated (SP?).. stay away from acidic things... (tums does not work for me either, only for a very sort time)

    not kidding. when i get the hard core pains i kick my legs up or get on all fours til something comes out. 

    that might not be the best option if you are still at work though...

    I had terrible gas pains all day today too!  Ugh, it sucked so badly.  Have you tried Simethicone?  My doctor approved it for pregnancy.  It works well when nothing else does.  I'd try that if I were you.  It worked great for me today...

    I have had the same issue lately. Tums usually do the trick for me, but I have to take 3 or 4 at a time and frequently. I think the citracel might make it worse...

    dont take fiber.. it can and most likely will make it worse.

    pepcid is a champ.

    try a glass of milk, as well.... hth

    Thanks so much!  I just ran to the drug store and got something with Simethicone in it!  I am hoping it works fast!
