NPR - ugh we had a gas leak today.

What a friggin day!! Today DS and I wake up and go downstairs and it smells like gas. H was upstairs getting ready for work and when he came down he thought it smelled too. So I bundled me and DS up grabbed our breakfast to-go and went out side to call the fire dept. I called the non-emergency number hoping they would send a truck out minus lights and sirens. Umm NOPE that didn't happen! 2 trucks, 2 medics - lights, sirens, horns, neighbors on the front porch - the whole deal Embarrassed

They were so were awesome and found the leak, aired out the house and turned off the gas. DS thought the trucks and firemen were the funniest thing he's ever seen and couldn't stop smiling and pointing at them. Much too much excitment at 7 am for my liking!

    lol...

    We had a power outage today that lasted 4 hours!  Woo hoo!  And we did our taxes and learned that we owe mega money!  Double woo hoo!  We make more money this year and that put us in a different tax bracket. booo
