I went for my growth u/s today, baby measureing OK...2lbs11oz @ 28 weeks but my sugar is still not consistant enough. My morning fasting numbers are anywhere still from 86-99.
So Dr says it could be diet (even though I'm seriously TRYING to eat what I'm suppose to!) or just lingering sugars from past days when I didn't have a good day. So now I have to take 5 (2.5 2x/day) a day. Dr said the dosage can go up to 20mg a day so 5 is still low.
My issue is eating out for lunches and stuff. For example, today we went to Panera. I got 1/2 roast beef sandwich on multigrain bread with cheese and side salad. My number was 152. The only other thing I could think of, was that I ate a little later than usual b/c I was at the hospital today for 3 dr appts so in between I was snacking on nuts. Maybe that did it to me?
But what else could I have goton at panera? Its very hard to come up with things to eat when you go out to lunch. Dinner is a little easier b/c I can do chicken, vegetable and potato.
I'm just so frustrated!!
Re: Blah...increasing my dosage of Glyburide
Was the meal within your carb limits for lunch? I looked up the full sandwich online and it's 64 carbs. Depending on what you got on the salad, that could put you over.
If you have to eat out a lot for lunch, can you check the nutrition ahead of time to make sure you are eating something good for you?
Panera seems like it would be hard. I think sandwiches at pretty much any place are hard because of the bread they use. Even their whole wheat is usually pretty carb heavy. A chicken salad with light dressing probably would have been better.
I don't go out to eat very often because it it's really difficult to find things that work.
Their broccoli&cheese soup is pretty good and not so bad with the carbs. I would try that next time. You probably should be looking up nutritional information before you eat out.
GL!
I had HALF of that sanwich and didn't use that bread
I had HALF of the fuji apple chicken salad. I'm allowed 45g of carbs for lunch, this would have just made it.
Maybe I was better just having a salad....
going on 3 weeks now. They are increasing my dosage so maybe that will help. (??)
