sorry if this question gets asked a lot, but what anti-anxiety/depressant pills have you taken for ppd and have they helped you, and in what way?  i have totally reached my breaking point lately and i am going to call the dr on monday.  i feel i am headed for ppd and i dont want to wait until it gets worse.  i feel like i have nothing left to give my DD i am just so exhausted and anxious all the time.  it is at the point where i dont enjoy taking care of her at all anymore.  i am so stressed out -- i was so unprepared for motherhood to be like this :(

    I feel similarly.  I am so tired and have moments where I feel very anxious.  I don't want to feel this way, especially since I have my son to care for, and I want to do the best for him.  I started on Zoloft 50 mg once daily last night, and hope it helps.  It's been well studied with breastfeeding, and from what I understand it is the drug of choice for PPD/PPA in breastfeeding women.  I hope you feel better soon!

    I took Lexapro. I started with 10mg/day but it wore off by about 5pm and then I was a mess. About three weeks after starting, they switched me to 20mg/day and it was much better. I stayed on that dosage until I was more or less weaned off.

    Hi! I don't know if you remember me from the pregnancy boards. I am sorry that you are having a hard time! I am on Wellbutrin because I had PPD and also PTSD coming out again. It has worked wonders. I was on Lexapro for a few months but had lots of side effects. Please email if you want to talk. Jessi863@aol.com
