Boy birthday party themes

What was your theme for your boy's birthday party? I'm looking for ideas on what to do for his 2nd birthday. It's still 6 months away, but I'm an early planner! We did a monkey theme for his 1st birthday, which was very fitting because his nickname is Monkey. As much as I would love to do another monkey themed birthday, I should probably do something else.

well, i think it could be boy or girl (of course, so could monkey), but I LOVE a puppy theme and i think I'll be doing this for dd's next bday. although it's probably typically a bit more boyish

We are fixing to do a sports theme party for our almost 2 year old. We bought the decorations from the Dollar Tree.

Last year we did cowboy theme, and this year we are doing a barn theme and getting him a petting zoo at the house.

For Gav's 1st birthday, we did a football theme. For this birthday, we just had his party this weekend and it was a Rockstar Party. It was awesome!!

BUGS!

DS's invite said: "Creep, crawl, fly or jump to the park for some fun, Our Little Bug, Jack, is turning ONE!" but you could easily change it up for two.

We also had things like, "'Bee' there!" and "Give us a 'buzz' if you can't make it" on the invite.

I made "bug jars" instead of treat bags. It was a BLAST!
