Okay, restaurant rave! Jim and I went to Cotton Row for V-Day and it was really, really good! The service was better than great and the atmosphere was really nice. We split the Ahi Tuna appetizer (OMG it had a deep fried avocado with it!) and then Jim got scallops and I got short ribs. Mine came with parmesean grits...yum! Everything was cooked perfectly! Oh, and the best part...the drinks! Oh my, oh my! I got a strawberry basil mohito and it was so good that Jim got one too. The bartender came over to talk to us and Jim mentioned that my fave drink is a lemondrop martini. A few minutes later, he came back with one for us and said it was on the house. I'm not lying when I say it was THE best lemon drop martini I've ever had anywhere! For dessert, we had a chocolate tart. It was good...I didn't go crazy over it like I was hoping...but it was good. We will definitely go back. It's definitely up there in price though, so it will be a special occasion place for us, but I can't wait to go back. They also have a gorgeous wine cellar that you can eat in for large groups and there is a loft above the restaurant that someone actually lives in, but they convert it to part of the restaurant on special occasions. The waiters were telling us that is amazing. I really want to sit up there one night!
