even if you aren't hungry?
I was ravenous a couple weeks ago, but this past week I haven't been hungry at all. Not even 'normal' hungry. I realized last night that I went to bed without dinner and made myself get out of bed for cheese and grapes. I worry sometimes that I'm not getting enough nutrients even though his growth is on target so far. It seems counter intuitive to force my body to consume food if I don't want it, but at the same time it's not healthy to skip meals under normal circumstances let alone when pg.
Re: Do you force yourself to eat...
Yup you still do need to eat something, not only for the nutrients, but for the kcals. There's days where I have very little appetite, but I always eat something. I don't need my body to slow it's metabolism down and it's still important to get in the nutrients and kcals.
our bodies go through phases... i would not eat if I wasn't hungry- because when I am hungry I really need to eat.
Also, its the same with weight gain, sometime you gain a bunch and then not so much for a while. just make sure to keep getting lots of fluids and your prenatal vitamins.
