  We have used it a few times and have never had any problems with it. We were familiar with the resort where we were staying and had stayed there before with family and friends but couldn't get the condos we had stayed in before for the week we wanted. I did contact several different renters before picking one.

  We always use vrbo when we go to the beach.  We have stayed in several different condos too.  You can ask the owner a question from the vrbo site, and I always ask what the total price will be including cleaning, and tax.  We have always had a great experience!

  We have used them.

  Just make sure you feel comfortable talking with the owner and you clarify all of their policies as a pp suggested (is there additional cleaning fee, are taxes included, is your deposit refundable afterward or does it offset the total cost when you check in?).

  We've never had any issues, but each unit is owner operated, so you have to use your own judgment in evaluating each unit.

  We've used it several times and have had great experiences with it. As sated before, you can email or even call the owner to ask specific questions and sometimes they'll even work out a deal for you
