Parenting after a Loss

*Polykinz*

I bought the summer infant seat thing this weekend and wanted to tell you that it's really cute, looks fun, and is currently on sale at bru.  But it says on the box 4+ months. I put Dylan in it and he wasn't supported enough to sit in it. He kind of slumped over too much. I was able to put the boppy pillow around the seat and give him more support and he played in it for almost 10 minutes once I got him supported.

I still had the bumbo so I compared and the bumbo seat goes a lot higher up the back so it allows a baby to sit in it younger but we're still taking back the bumbo and will just wait until closer to 4 months and then try out the summer seat again. I think he'll love it when he is older.  Just an fyi since you're thinking of getting one too.

  • Hey there! Thanks for the update, I actually did go buy it this weekend too while it was on sale Smile He's actually sitting in it right now and loves it, but you're right, it doesn't hold him totally upright. He sits pretty well in it, but he's a little bit "reclined". I won't leave him in it for long stretches yet, but he actually seems to get a little bit of a "workout" trying to sit upright, so I think that's probably good for his neck and belly muscles. He liked laying there looking up at the ceiling, so I think he's really going to like it once he can actually sit up properly. And his chub fits in it!!
