Looking for help for a baby boy name. We know we are having a boy, but we just do not know what to name him. We do not even have names that we are on the fence about, we have absolutely nothing!! So I was wondering if you guys could just kind of throw a few names out there that you think are cute? It might give me an idea or at least get my mind out of the writer's block for baby names that it is in right now! Thank you for any help
Re: Baby Boy Name
I'm naming my son Maximus, so I'm sure you don't want my suggestions for boys names...
Do you like traditional names or more unique names?
www.nymbler.com and www.babynamewizard.com
Both sites let you type in a name, then will generate names you might like based on that name, or give you sibling names.
We were thinking of Alex for a boy.
We are most probably naming our baby boy Logan Eric, Eric being after his dad. We also liked Colston Eric or Colton Eric.
Are there any boy baby names in your family that you would like to carry on that would maybe give you a start?
Traditional, I think! lol I have had no luck coming up with anything so I guess really I am open to any ideas.
We like unique names! Here are our ideas for right now for our boy!
Kinden, Karsten and Currant
Some of my favorites... Samuel, Logan, Jacob, Nathan, James, Alex, Matthew, Collin, Jack... I like traditional names. :P
My Grandpa's name is Henry, and my Mom already mentioned something about naming the baby after him. My daughter's name Emma, is after my Grandma so I feel like I am using only my family names, and not DH's. They have a family name that has been passed on a few times and it's Clarence and the nn is Butch, and we already agreed that Clarence and Butch are out of the question.
As of right now the ONLY name we can agree on is Bryan. The names I love that have been vetoed or we know people whom we dont like are :
Alexander (my favorite), Andrew, Steven, David
Carter Robert 7.18.08 | Brynn Sophia 5.24.10 | Reid Joseph 9.10.12 | Emerson Mae 1.27.14
DH hates the Colts! He is a HUGE Bengals fan. Colston was on my fantasy team this year
I like first names as last names too! I actually thought of Anderson, but I think DH hated it.
Geesh. I don't blame you. The nn "Butch" will forever remind me of Catelynn's step dad from 16 and Pregnant. I would never want my child to become anywhere CLOSE to him! *shudders*
Other than Maximus, I liked Jackson, Carson (my chocolate lab is Carson, so that was out), Seth (one of my brother's names. I like the name, but didn't want people to think I was naming my son after my brother. Certainly not the case.) and Benjamin (an ex's name... so DH voided that right away)
Cam 6.6.10 - Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Mixed Receptive/Expressive Communication Disorder
I LOVE IT. When I found out I was pregnant my brother referred to the baby as "Max." He was very dissapointed when we found out it was two girls! Honestly, he said it so much that it started to catch on, and I probably would have named my baby that if I had a boy!
So far our front-runners are Logan and Evan.
Other names I liked are Owen, Lucas, Zachary, Carson, Emmett, Ethan, Garrett, Gavin, Dillon, and Mitchell.
I've always loved the name Max. Maximillian sounds weird to me though. I've gotten some heat for Maximus, many people asking me if I am a fan of the movie Gladiator.
Which, actually, yes! Yes I am!
I prefer Maximus to Maximillian also.
My LO is Nicholas Alexander ( I love Alexander as a first name but my husband didn't want it so we decided to use it as a mn).
others we considered were Max & Zachery
I love Matthew too.
Here are some ideas for you:
Mitchell
Hudson
Weston
Alden
Beckett
Bennett
Bryce
Campbell
Darby
Donovan
Garrett
Grant
Tate
Keegan
Larson
Reid
Sullivan
Harrison
DS is Trent David
If this one had been a boy, the front runners were Garrett, Chase, and Brody.
I also love the name Grayson but it doesn't work with our last name. GL!
