Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Parker's New Room! (PsIP)

And...he slept through the night last night in his new bed!!  We are so excited and proud of him. :)  I think he was a little scared when he woke up--he was clutching his blankie, but that's understandable in a new place.

ETA:  And yes, this room is tiny!!  But it actually feels a lot bigger than when the crib was in there.

  • cute! Is his bed a twin or toddler? What is the mattress sitting on?
  • Really cute! I'm so impressed with these babies who are able to go to toddler beds!! Are you wanting to use the crib for your DD? I wanted to do the bed swap but Sierra is seriously in love with the crib, so I'd feel bad swapping it out at this point :(

I love how you used the space in his room -  it really doesn't look that small from the pictures at all!

  • That's adorable. I'm glad to hear he slept well in his new bed. We had to switch DD to a twin bed back in January and we were terrified that she'd be up all night wandering around her room. Lol

His bed is a twin, and it's just sitting on the boxspring for now.  I wasn't comfortable with it sitting so high on the rails quite yet!!

  • Adorable!  So simple and sweet... and the room can grow with him.  Love it.

I know how you feel--DS also loves his crib.  I'd feel bad moving him.  But in a way it''ll be exciting.

Is this the same bedroom the crib was in or is it a whole new room and that's why he was scared??

  • It looks great!  Love the colors and organization of it all!

Thanks! :)  Yes, we are using the crib for the baby.  We set up the bed a couple of weeks ago in his room and let him play on it and get used to it (we moved him to the baby's room in the crib during this process so we could decorate, etc...).

smiling:  This was always his room, but it looks so different now I think it freaked him out to wake up in that environment!

DD just started trying to climb out of her crib. She was almost over, but I think it scared her so she got back down. Anyway, her room is really small and I've been going back and forth between a twin and toddler.

I just didn't see the point in buying a toddler bed and then a twin a little while down the road.  But maybe we're just cheap. :p

  • Hm. Aren't you expecting? how are you going to fit another child under that toddler bed. And where are the items dangling over his bed? That seems very uncluttered and organized to me. is the whey limeaid in the closet?

Oh silly lanie.  When the baby gets here, we'll suspend the mattress from the ceiling with a couple of cords, so there will be plenty of room for the lil rugrat!  I'm not exactly sure what's in those bins, but I certainly can't rule out antifreeze.

Ugh.  That makes me nauseated just writing that. I can't believe that lady.
