I have been having the strangest feeling in my mouth the last few days. It's not like laryngitis (sp?) or anything that I have ever had before. It's all in the back half of my mouth and goes back and forth between this numbing-tingling feeling to just feeling "swelled". Should I be concerned about my tonsils or something? Sometimes there is also this funny almost-metallic taste too.
The rest of me is fine. No fevers, no aches, not even a sore throat. It's just that area at the top of my throat and back of my mouth.
Trying to avoid running to the doctor, if you can't tell.
Re: medically inclined mama's, help?
I think the metallic taste is a symptom of tonsilitis. I think I read that before. I think it can be a number of other things, too. You should at least call your doc and ask, you may very well not need an appointment.

Could also be a symptom of oral allergies...
