Trying to Get Pregnant

Ugly chart and BFP

I really hope you don?t consider this a drive-by post ? I?ve posted a few times in the past two months, mostly with chart questions. My chart is really ugly. It wasn?t exactly helpful in determining my O date, but I managed to get a BFP on Friday.

Here?s the thing?FF had my O date as CD16 for 18 days before it took away the CHs and then gave the CHs back, but on CD37. Since my temps stayed up, I tested on 12dpo and got my BFP. I continued temping Saturday and today because I wanted to see what it looked like to have the temps stay up in my chart. When I entered in my temp today, FF changed my CHs back to CD16.

My original plan was to explain my chart at my first OB appointment so we could figure out how pregnant I am. Now I have no idea what to say. Anyone have any insight? I don?t think the chart shows any O pattern at all.

If anything, maybe my chart will give hope to those who also have ugly charts. Don?t ever give up!

Re: Ugly chart and BFP

  • I agree... I don't see any clear temp shift on any of those days... Nevertheless, congratulations on your BFP!

  • I can see why FF moved the crosshairs to day 37, but not why they moved them back to 16.  If you discard the temp on day 33 it might move them back. You can see a little shift (not a big one) after day 37, but I think your high temp on day 33 is throwing it off.  I could be totally wrong though - I am no expert.

Did you drink or get little sleep on day 33?  Just wondering if there was a reason for the big spike.

No matter though - you are KU.  Congratulations.  As other posters said, you will likely get a ultrasound to date you.  I would request a dating sonogram if your OB doesn't suggest one.

  • Congratulations!  I wouldn't consider this a drive by at all.  Some of us post more than others.  Your chart definitely gives me hope because mine is not very pretty!  I am no expert so unfortunately I can't tell you when you may have O'd, but it sounds like it will not be a problem for your OB.  H&H 9 months!

Well, I tested on CDs 28, 29 and 33 when FF had my CHs on CD16.

A little history--I came off BCP in October '09. My first cycle was 36 days and my second cycle was 49 days. This was my third cycle (first one charting), so I wasn't surprised that it went so long.

Right. At the first OB appointment when I was pregnant with DS, the doctor determined I was 10 weeks after he examined me. They don't do u/s until around 18 weeks. I'm really not worried. I just wanted to be able to offer an O date to them in case that would help.

  • Not sure what to tell you about the chart, but congratulations!!
