Simply have your husband or a friend break your water! It's that easy!

I've been told this "family secret" by no less than THREE of his family members, all of whom did this to bring baby A, B, or C faster. Me: O_O

ETA: Not ONLY that, but these people were NOT overdue!

Well his uncle's wife had a nurse friend do it (sounds like a terrible nurse friend) and his aunt had her hubby do it with a crochet hook. For reals! And I didn't ask about his grandma, who was the one that started this idiotic tradition.

Nothing like sticking something totally unsanitary as well as unsterilized into your cervix...introducing the possibility of infection and risking the life of your child with a crochet hook? Seriously? I thought that this was one of the jokes that went around when I was pg with my son...didn't realize people would actually be dumb enough to do it!
