but seriously, i do wish Penny's 3am-8am cluster feeding/epic bowel struggles would move to a more enlightened hour. we iz tired over here.

but again, kidding. not looking for sttn advice or help. i know how the sarcasm meter can be wonky over here.

Well, Brendan started STTN at 3 days because we decided that CIO was our only option. After all, he was MANIPULATING us!!! You better nip that in the bud! You're 2 1/2 weeks too late!

I have a good friend who just took her 8 week old in for his 2 mo. appt. I shiit you not, the pedi told her 2-4 months was the best time to start sleep training and her kiddo did not need to be fed but every 6 hours at this age/weight.

I told her to find a new pedi.

DS2 didn't STTN until he was 11 months old. If it helps (probably not, b/c it didn't make me feel much better!!) try to remember that they nurse just as much for comfort as they do b/c they are actually hungry.......that is part of the reason bf babies want us so much at night. Doesn't help the exhaustion, but helps put in perspective a bit.
