Pregnant after a Loss

Exersaucer, jumperoo, or both?

We received both the exersaucer we registered for and a jumperoo at my baby shower today. I am trying to decide if we should keep one, the other, or both.

I registered for the exersaucer which was purchased weeks ago (by my mom), and then literally 2 days ago added the jumperoo since most of my registry was bought up.

Now that they are both here, I am wondering if I need both of them.

Thoughts?

Re: Exersaucer, jumperoo, or both?

  • Most people I know have one or the other.

We had an exersaucer, and DS loved it.

But we went to his cousins once who had a jumperoo and I was a bit jealous.  That thing looked fun.

  • Probably not both... but you might... maybe different areas of your house or one at the babysitters....

I'm going with a jumperoo because I have read several studies that say they are better for baby's development, hips, and walking than the exersaucer......

  • I had only the jumperoo for DD and wished I would have had an exersuacer as well many times. It is more of a place for them to "sit" I guess, and a place to put them if you have to run to the bathroom or answer the door or something. the jumperoo is more of an activity and and I think their legs need to be a little longer for it. I feel like I could've used the E earlier than the J. I am hoping to borrow an E from a friend and have both for DS. I did love my J though, so did DD, it was fun to watch her go crazy in it!

  • I had both.  First son loved the exersaucer, 2nd son LOVED LOVED LOVED the jumperoo!!!!
Sawyer Quinn (09/06/06), Rory Keaton (04/07/08) and Kinsley Saffron (10/12/10). Forever and ever my babies they'll be. A rose can say "I love you",orchids can enthrall, but a weed bouquet in a chubby fist, yes, that says it all.~Author Unknown

  • DD loved both!
  • I had the exersaucer and the doorway jumper thing... I think it was the "johnny jump up"  or something like that.  DD loved both and they were pretty different.
