Benedryl is safe. I don't remember if Sudafed is or not. I'm pretty sure it depends on what type of Sudafed you're taking - some types are safe and others are not.
So if I take Benedryl what kind should I take? Just regular cough and cold? Sinus? I'm only going to take one pill but I heard with the Sudafed you can only take a certain kind.
Addy, I hadn't seen you in a while and I forgot you were KU. Opening this post was like Christmas all over again. I hope you feel better soon to enjoy the rest of 2nd Tri!
lol Ozy. I've been off in my own little world of not being able to breathe. I am on my way to CVS to get a Vicks humidifier and Benedryl. I hope the pharmacist knows the exact kind I can use.
Re: Talk to me about drugs and pregnancy
Benedryl is class B and is fine to take throughout pregnancy. I don't know what class Sudafed is, but I believe it's allowed after 1st tri.

I did it this afternoon!

If you can take the Sudafed that's behind the pharmacy counter that's my vote.
If not, just take the benadryl.
Benadryl saved my life both times I've been sick during pregnancy. It will also help you sleep nice.
Take some with tylenol.
I was told only regular Sudafed, thats it. I would assume only Regular Benadryl as well.
I hope you feel better. Last February I got really sick and was almost hospitalized. Being sick and pregnant is the worst.
