Pregnant after a Loss

I am boycotting Walmart

Apparently their pharmacy closes on Saturdays at 7:00 pm and even though they kept me waiting today for over 25 minutes for my progesterone earlier today they would not assist me tonight.  I arrived at 7:04 just as they were closing the gate and practically begged for them get my medicine they refused.  Quality customer service at it's finest.  I now have to spend the rest of the evening feeling like *** because some uneducated, underpaid idiot wouldn't take three minutes to pull my damn script bag off the shelf.  I thought they didn't close till 9 but apparently they close at 7 on saturdays.  I was furious and broke down crying the whole way to the car.  I will be there when they open tomorrow and they better have my freakin medicine ready or I'll lose it.  Thank you for your quality service Walmart.  I now get to spend my night puking and on the toilet because you couldn't spend 3 minuters to help a customer.

Angry vent over...

Re: I am boycotting Walmart

  • can you have your doctor's answering service call a 24 hour pharmacy and have it resubmitted?

It is a long time to wait...GRRRRRR....

  • I'm one of those uneducated underpaid idiots. You have no idea how you sound when you come in after we're closed and try to get us to get your medicine. Sometimes it takes more than simply turning around and getting your medicine. I just have to tell you that while yes you feel like sh!t you also sound like an a$$ when you talk about people like that. I know I'll get flamed for this but I'm sure their hours are posted. I'm sorry you couldn't get your meds and I feel for you but just know how you sound. The wait for 25 minutes is usually due to a large volume of customers. It happens.
  • I agree with Alice. Maybe your Doc can call it in somewhere else?

  • If the pharmacist has already left, you are SOL anyway, they can't sell a thing without a pharmacist there by law. They would have to turn everything back on (reboot all computers), and probably can't do anything anyway because if they are closed the money has been counted down and put in the safe anyway. It is nowhere near as simple as "pull it down off a shelf".

I would just have your doc call a 24 hour pharmacy.

  • I'm going to say have the doctor's service call in the script to another pharmacy so that you can take your meds.

I apologize if I offended you with my rant.  However, I am in the service industry as well and was appalled by the fact that they didn't make an effort to assist a customer.  The medicine I picked up earlier was dropped off two days prior and there is no excuse as to why it wasn't ready.  There were only two people in line when I arrived at the pharmacy counter earlier today  and I should not have had to wait as long as I did today.  In addition to that, tonight when I arrived they still had a customer at the counter, the pharmacist was still there and they had not shut the lights off or completely closed the gate.  I'm angry because they had no trouble wasting my time today but couldn't offer me the few moments it would have taken to get my medication tonight.  In the service industry when you want to keep your customers sometimes it means making a little extra effort.  I didn't mean to offend anyone but as you can imagine when you feel sick all you want is someone to take a few minutes to help.  Tonight Walmart did not help me and now I have to spend the evening on the toilet, not exactly where I wanted to be.

I understand that completely and that customer is probably the one that made the tech pis$y in the first place. If a prescription is too soon to fill, we need an insurance card or there is some other issue filling a prescription it pushes everyone else back. It's a terribly flawed system that makes alot of customers a-holes. I don't work at a Walmart pharmacy but if their patients are anything like the people I see in there and just shake my head at it doesn't surprise me that they would be problems. My suggestion is find another pharmacy. But know that any pharmacy that closes early on the weekend will be the same if you come in at 5 after. We are at the end of a long shift that you are attempting to make longer simply because you couldn't be there on time. Unfortunately that's what happens. I'm truly sorry your pharmacist and techs aren't up to your standards but trust me when I say that as a cashier turned tech, my job is harder now than it ever was just running a register. Hope your night isn't so bad

  • I'm sorry you had such a bad experience Sad I hope you don't get too sick!

  • Sorry, but I agree with pentagirl, completely. I used to work retail. We closed at a specific time, no exceptions at b/c if you did it for one person, you'd have a line out the door, I've seen it happen and we all got in trouble. It might seem like poor customer service to you, however they're just following the rules. It's not their fault. To say their uneducated, or whatever is really nasty on your part. (especially in this economy where I'm working a job that really, is not worth my effort, but it's better than the $0 I got unemployed)

I understand you're frustrated, this has happened to me when I went to the courthouse, needing to file something, I got there at 5:00 PM and like 30 seconds and they couldn't help me. It's their rule to close at 5Pm on the dot and it was my fault for not being on time, nobody else's.

I hope you can get your medicine elsewhere.
