Previous c-sections- How many days in hospital?

I was reading a post earlier and it seemed like everyone was in the hospital or required to be in the hospital for 72-96 hours.

I was discharged in 48 hours. Is this really out of the ordinary? I felt great and just wanted to get out of there. My Dr did comment on how surprised he was.

How long were you in the hospital?

I was in for 3 nights after my c-section. The usual time is 4 nights for my hospital, but I was allowed to go home early since I was doing well and very eager to go home.

I just had my first c/s Monday (2 previous vaginal deliveries) and I stayed 48 hours. I was up and walking 3.5 hours after surgery and just kept getting up and moving the whole time. I was ready to go after 48 hours partly because my other 2 children couldn't come to the hospital to visit, but also because I can sit around and do nothing at home with better TV.

48 hours. I begged my doctor to let me go early. This time (different doc) I told him I didn't want to stay more than 48 hours and he said, "I'd let you out after 24 hours, but they won't let the baby go then."

I was in for 96 hours with my son. I'm really hoping to cut it down to 72 or even 48 this time. I'm going to get my butt out of bed and moving around ASAP!

After my c/s I was in the hospital for 3 nights, but I haven't had an easy recovery. Coming home was actually the last thing I wanted and I stayed as long as I could.
