Im 13 weeks 1 day and had the NT ultrasound this past Wednesday and everything seemed perfect with the baby! I am dying to announce but when I got down to it and started to upload the ultrasound picture I chickened out!! I almost feel like it is bad luck. With my last three pregnancies we had ultrasounds at 8 weeks and everytthing would go south within the same week. Should I do it? WWYD?
Re: chickened out on Facebook. What do you think?
well, first let me warn you that I am a big, fat hypocrite.
But I'm trying to embrace this pregnancy and believe it's going to be ok unless I'm told otherwise. If all signs point to good (your great NT scan, your impending arrival to 2nd tri) I would go ahead and post. You love this baby, proclaim it to the world! Let everyone who cares about you be happy for you!
that said I'm a hypocrite who is having a hard time embracing this myself....so
We aren't announcing on FB at all... and we plan on telling everyone around 20 weeks. When we lost the twins, it was awful having people I haven't seen since high school trying to tell me it wasn't meant to be with the twins. They had no idea what they were talking about. When we have a baby in our arms, we will post a picture on FB... until then, those people can just not know. Anyone who is close will know at 20ish weeks.
