Anyone else's LO resisting a nap right now?

DS has been in his crib for an hour. He's not really fighting a nap, no crying or screaming, but he's just in their babbling to himself and his teddy bear and kicking his little feet against the crib slats. He really needs to nap because we're going out for my birthday later and I don't want him to be miserable because he didn't nap and is tired and cranky. I know he'll eventually play himself to sleep in there, but this could take awhile. He got up earlier than normal this morning, so you'd think he'd be napping already.

We're going through the transition from 2 naps to 1. It sucks.

Yes, and it's driving me crazy! She was doing so well with 2 naps, then she started playing in her crib and it took her forever to lay down and take a nap (not cranky, just playful!) I don't feel like she's ready for 1 nap yet, b/c when I tried just giving her 1 she was a total fusspot!

Yes - DS just spent the last 20 minutes screaming.

Now he's asleep. It's like this every.single.weekend.

After an hour of playing in his crib, he's finally asleep. Now mamma's going to go grab a nap too since DS was up earlier than normal today, I'm exhausted and we're going out for my birthday later.
