BRU has 20% off all bedding sets this weekend. We are not having any sort of baby shower that I know of. I am debating whether I should take the plunge and buy the set, or if it's just wasteful and I should just get a sheet and maybe a separate bedskirt.
For reference, here is the bedding set:
For the pieces it comes with, I really want the quilt (I know I won't use this until later) and the skirt and I am undecided on the bumper. I don't care for the diaper stacker or the valance. I can buy the sheets separately.
WWYD?
Re: Bedding set - yay or nay?
I would get the big items you REALLY know you want... leave any you question for later... it is a good price and you'll need it at some point... and the same sale may not happen again before you are due.
(I'm an enabler you know
)
Oh, I have to buy the whole set or nothing. I looked online for the individual pieces, and they were more expensive than the set.
I keep thinking this is the last big holiday (sale) weekend before Memorial Day, so I should capitalize! Then I think of all of the other things we still need.
I spent quite a bit (IMO) on bedding and I *kinda* regret it. While I love it, all we have in her crib is a sheet and the crib skirt. The bumper I took out and the blanket I lay across the glider for decoration. So basically instead of spending $270 I could have spent $50.
i found a bumper I love but am not sure if I want to use it in the crib. I am trying to figure out if I can use the bumper somewhere else in the room - lined up against the changing pad?
I am a 'set' kinda gal. I'd probably get it.
I agree with Alice. Get the big items you know you want. If you think that in a few weeks you are going to regret not purchasing it, then I saw go for it.
I think the bedding is really cute btw.
I've been debating the same thing about the BRU bedding set for months (probably since I was as far along as you). ?Look at me now, I'll be full-term in 5 days and still no bedding set. ?I say go for it!! ?Just do it. ?The price was what was really making me doubtful too as we are not well off and have to buy most things ourselves. ?20% is the most you are going to get off; trust me. ?I kept waiting for "something better" or gift cards. ?None of those happened and now it might be too late. ?
Buy it and then let us know how much you absolutely love it!?
